Louis Massignon (1883-1962) and Henry Corbin (1903 -1978) : two great figures of the history of ideas which followed each other, loved each other... and sometimes opposed to one another.  When France was sinking in a colonialist, materialist and secular wheeling and dealing and then (is it a consequence of that ?) faced two world wars and a national war (Algeria)... who are the French of that time who were really fascinated - sometimes risking their lives - for spirituality "of the other" : Islam ?

In Western countries, philosophy and theology seem to interlace like the two snakes of the caduceus of Hermes. Was the death of Molière, on stage, while performing the The Imaginary Invalid a fatal synchronicity linked to Chronos, the God of time ?
