Corto Maltese is a mysterious cartoon character: romantic, anarchist, lucid and ironic, he is the creation of Hugo Pratt.
Devoted to liberty, he is a traveller who roams from port to port, in search of fabled treasures (Eldorado, King Solomon’s Mines or even the sunken continent of Mu) setting off on adventures that spanned 1904 to 1925.

Some of the stories he starred in are "Sous le signe du Capricorne" (Under the Sign of Capricorn), "Les Celtiques" (The Celts), "Fable de Venise" (Venice Fable), "La Maison dorée de Samarkand" (The Golden House of Samarkand) and “Mu”.
