Renouncing a career as a scientist because of the Great War, André Savoret (1898-1977) became interested in occultism, poetry, history, linguistics and a range of mythology, astrology and Hermeticism. He founded the “SOS, Occident!” review in 1932 with Jacques Heugel - designed to throw light on the Franco-German dilemma looming on the horizon. A year later, he founded the “Collège bardique des Gaules" (Bardic College of the Gauls) with Philéas Lebesgue, which focused on the Celtic tradition.celtique.
An unrecognised disciple of the Master Phillipe of Lyon, André Savoret was a druid and later, an alchemist. He is the author of various different works including “Qu'est-ce que l'alchimie?” (What is Alchemy?), “Les forces secrètes de la vie" (The Secret Forces of Life), "Le mirage oriental", (The Eastern Mirage) «Visage du druidisme", (Faces of Druidism), etc.
