 How to read Confucius? What is a living tradition? These are the questions that Alexis Lavis asks in this presentation. He was born in China during the last hours of the royal dynasty, Confucius (551-479 BC) wonders in his work about tradition, or how maintain it alive, and the rite. The rite respected to the letter is ,indeed, a real place of regeneration and thus a way of accomplishment for man who is at him. Founded on virtue, which isn't moral, he has the power to reveal it to its native dispositions. Anchoring it in time, he also supports the world of tradition to make the way of the kings live.
