How to revolutionize human conscious to create a new world ?

Psychology > Awakening spirituality
By : Ervin Laszlo -  Friday, 06 May 2011 09:00
laszlo_revolution_conscience How to create a revolution of conscious? To answer this fundamental - and very topical - question, a philosopher, Ervin Laszlo and a spiritual teacher, Andrew Cohen, gathered in Paris within the context of an exceptional party organized by EnlightenNext France. To Andrew Cohen, the society change, or paradigm change, has to occur by a change within each man and woman. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"
Cohen encourages us to get free from our automatisms that an inferior ego tends to multiply. So many protection systems so called "sure" but which happen to be sclerosing and lead to short-sightedness, or worse... to blindness, of which our world would be subject of. "In the kingdom of the blinds one-eyed are kings" he also reminded.

To Andrew Cohen man dignity is in his self thinking capacity: "I am happy to be conscious". And to always act this way, fully conscious: as though each thought, each action was linked to a superior order; "cosmic" we would say even though that word was often used by the New Age.

To Andrew Cohen, this cosmic process began nineteen billion years ago, and Man, the last one but responsible for the future of that ark, passed by successive evolving awakening stages: egocentric when his preoccupations were limited to hunting and gathering, ethnocentric when ethnics, breeding, clan began to spread, mythocentric when polytheism went down to tutelary figures, mainly religious.

Then came the Enlightenment and for the first time, Man tried to get to a universal dimension that Andrew Cohen defines as "world centric" or "geo centric".  Before to declare himself as a citizen a a particular nation, that man regarded himself as belonging to the world.

Two centuries passed, and facing time getting fast, history, and technology, the delicate question is to define with precision the current situation of man: did post modernity give birth to a New Man Cohen would like to call Cosmos-centric man ?

Or the New Man of the 21st century is just consumer-elector, which main preoccupation isn't just what he is going to do by the seven next days... and which political representative, consequently, has the same vision of the world:  egotic at short term... ?

The cosmos-centric man, to Andrew Cohen, is the highest evolution level man never knew and the teachings and conferences he gives though the world promotes the institution of a new era, the conscious revolution one, where "the evolving awakening" and the greatness of man will be fulfilled...

Andrew Cohen's approach is spiritual then concrete, but Ervin Laszlo one is first pragmatic then philosophical.  Another course, another sensibility... even though their conclusion gather. Recalling Einstein's saying: "we can't solve a problem with the same frame of mind of the moment where the problem occurred..." Ervin Laszlo warns us "we are able to kill ourselves and to eradicate everything that surrounds us..." and exhorts us, as well, to get to action.

Ervin Laszlo calls a revolution of the conscious, as a recurrent theme in discontinuity: the future will never be anticipated by specialists of forecasting, from their office.

To Ervin Laszlo, prevision is synonym of capitulation:  our future isn't predictable, it is to be created ! ...

Do you want to get familiarized with the thought of these two wise and maybe to get from the spectator stage to the actor one of that change ?

Elements of answer in this 86-minutes video (available in two parts) filmed on the 8th of April at the Forum 104.
