The feminine part of Woman

Psychology > Archetype-Jung
By : Csilla Kemenczei -  Friday, 22 April 2011 00:00
kem_feminin_femmeIn his book Psychology and Alchemy, Carl Gustav Jung asserts:  "man becomes really what he is when he fulfilled his destiny, his reality"... What about women ? What is her destiny, her reality in the metamorphosing world ? What does she have to discover to give birth to her feminine side ? asks Csilla Kemenczei, a Jungian analyst, who says: "every woman, as ordinary as she may be, embodies the goddess, the absolute and cosmic mother".

Starting from the magnificent Isenheim altarpiece by Matthias Grünewald (well known to our subscribed ones), representing a triptych showing the three dimensionality of one reality, Csilla Kemenczei shows the importance of the complementarity between archetypes (the three parts) and the personal complexes (the base of the altarpiece, its predella.

Thus its primordial state of Mother Earth, the woman representing the all might undifferentiated.  This is the first look of woman regarding her own mystery, a look which obliges her to cross her inner night and to explore her ultimates foundations.

From the discovery of this undifferentiated might emerges a conscious which is embodied by the Mother Goddess. It is the moment when the conscious meets nature and the goddess come out from the viscera of earth. Superior entity, the mother goddess is a muse as well which possesses the keys of the visible and invisible worlds. She is both revealer and double, both creating and destructive.

Becoming woman and spouse, she will be meant to transform this duality in dualism. She will have to keep the flame alive to teach love to man in the union of their couple...

Is it possible for all these women of today to realize this triple embodiment ?

Elements of answer by Csilla Kemenczei in this 51 minutes presentation filmed during the day "Rencontre Féminin-Masculin, regards croisés: Marie-Louise von Franz - Pierre Solié » and organized by the association « Autour de Marie-Louise von Franz »
