"In the current Promethean drift, it is important to listen to the Grandmother's voice! " says Marie-Laure Colonna. Indeed, since the 17th century, the development of rationality provoked the exclusion, or even the questioning of the existence of the soul. When we talk about the notion of soul, we generally place it on an personal level, attached to someone in particular.  However there is a collective soul that Plato, in Timaeus, called "the world soul",

and he defined as an intermediate space created by the Demiurge (the creating God) and which happened before the creation of matter.

How to talk about this complex subject in a simple way without falling in the magic thought ?

Where do we find the influence of the World Soul in our lives and in our behavior ?

To answer these questions, we gathered with Michel Cazenave (who is the author of the book: la Science et l’âme du monde, Ed Albin Michel) a philosopher, David Lucas, and a Jungian psychoanalyst, Marie-Laure Colonna.

Thanks to their respective approaches, we discover that philosophy, psychology, mathematics and physical sciences have something natural in common, a natural linking. To observe this harmony, we have to constrict the arrogance of its masculine Logos (Yang) which splits, separates (from where grows the oppositions) to the feminine Logos (Yin), which doesn't opposes but establishes complementarities... "Gathering what is scattered", isn't it the prerogative of spiritual Alchemy or every form of traditional transmission ?
Besides, didn't the famous physician Newton discover the universal attraction thanks to his works on alchemy ?
Think about all these fundamental questions in this 56-minutes debate filmed at the Forum 104.
