Unlike many of his contemporaneous who facing the gradual decay of modern world take a waiting posture, Alain Chevillat, acts, organizes. His structure, Terre du Ciel, created in 1990 suggests today many activities: edition, travels, spiritual retreats; All these activities target the same goal, a same utopia: the reestablishment of a more harmonious world, where man doesn't consider himself as omniscient and omnipotent, where the quest, the spiritual dimension, would be replaced at the center of life.
Young man in rupture with his environment, hesitating between revolt, revolution and alternative environments, Alain Chevillat goes at 29 years-old to India for eighteen months in an ashram. After months of intense meditation, he is touched by the grace and during an illumination, he receives the answers to these questions under the form of sentences from the apostles. He feels in his body the adage "private from the divine the man is disabled" (Marie-Madeleine Davy) and takes conscious that the spiritual realization is not the prerogative of a particular tradition but on the contrary a universal experience.

Alain Chevillat defines himself as a man of action in the tradition of the karma yoga. The second part of his teaching will be the reading of the works of Gandhi about the reform of the society. A reading which will comfort him in his mission to redirect French society towards spirituality. All the founding elements for the beginning of the adventure of Terre du Ciel are reunited. "We have to make it known" becomes the leitmotiv of Alain Chevillat.

"To find the essential reality of man, its foundation and to make know that it exists, this will become the mission of Terre du Ciel" asserts Alain Chevillat.
The success as qualitative as quantitative (a rare thing nowadays !) is back... Alain Chevillat remains very humble and would make any "chairman" green - and what honors him - "you have the right to act but not to get the fruit of it" he reminds, and quotes Bhagavad Gita.
Interview presented by Virginie Durand, and recorded at the Forum 104.
