The order of the I Ching, the oldest secret code in the world ?

Philosophy > China
By : Jean-Louis Brun -  Friday, 08 April 2011 18:00
brun16_yi_king_code_secretJean-Louis Brun is fascinated by hermeticism and alchemy. The researches he carried out about the I Ching tend to show the meaning of this construction and not an new interpretation of the I Ching, as many already exists. He asks the question immediately: what message do these sixty four hexagrams hold?
As wrote Cornelius Agrippa in the 15th century: "the one who will be able to unite the numbers of enumeration with divine numbers, and who will know how to harmonize them, this one will know fascinating secrets", Jean-Louis Brun tries to reveal the secret cog contained in the succession of these hexagrams.
Unite and harmonize... Starting from the five Chinese elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Wood, Metal) and the eight trigrams which compose the I Ching, Jean-Louis Brun raises the presence of a code which represents the equivalence of a axis mundis, an axis which links Sky and Earth, and freezing in the matter a pure knowledge.

An alchemical interpretation of the I Ching, which lasts 24 minutes and filmed at the Forum 104 and will be followed by two other videos: Dismantling the seven seals of the I Ching (17th of June) and reassembling the I Ching... an initiatory path (29th of July).
