 Papus, Gérard Encausse (1865-1916), is a great figure of French occultism. Doctor in medicine, his aim was to fight against scientism of his time spreading a way of thinking fed at the origin of Western esotericism. Incontestable leader, he claimed not to be a thaumaturgist or an inspired, he presented himself as a scientist and an experimenter.

 Life and words of Master Philippe de Lyon, Anthelme Philippe Nizier (1845-1905), French healer and mystic, and his disciples: Sédir, Marc Haven and Jean Chapas. Because "Everything can reach light.  Canonized in 2002 by John Paul II, Padre Pio, Francesco Forgione (1887-1968), lived his faith to his bones. Ordained Capuchin priest in 1910 and named in Pietrelcina, he is in the medical corps during World War I. In 1911, he tells his confessor about red marks and aches in the feet and hands, moreover he has mystic visions.
The quest, ordered after the discovery of stigmas, declares him sound in mind.
