As astonishing as it may seem, there is on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, in the USA as well as in Europe, similar megalithic constructions. Hugh Newman took pictures and studied more than a hundred of neolithic sites in the North-West of the USA (Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, NY) and gives us in this conference the result of his researches. The chambers, dolmens or circular structures found have similarities: indeed, they're almost all aligned towards East and their declination goes with the solar cycle.
Thus, those which have a "0" declination, in other words towards East, are built so that its opening is in the axis of the autumn equinox. Those at "+23.5°" towards the summer solstice and those at "-23.5°" towards the winter solstice.
Another very disturbing thing, some lintels have Phoenician or Celtic inscriptions, referring especially to the God Bel [BAWL] "The Shining God", Belenus for Celtics. These discoveries raise many questions, among them: 1°) were there exchanges between our two continents at the neolithic time? Did stone cutters, vikings or Phoenician fleets arrived to the new world? Was there a corridor now swallowed? 2°) Does these megaliths form, by their solidity, the unique survival of a lost civilization, or men had sophisticated technologies similar to those we possess now? What do we have left of that civilization except these giant stone blocks which we don't know (just like the pyramids of Egypt) how they were assembled?

Hugh Newman tells us in this conference the fruit of his researches and deplores that American scientists refuse to classify these monuments mainly because of the pressure of property developer or highway builders. This would allow not only their conservation but also a deep study.

What degree of symbolic and spiritual incompetence has brought our modern world and its scientists to see in these prehistoric chambers as "vegetable cellar" or to consider these dolmens as "sacrifice tables" for Indians? American scientists, like their country are only "thinking in making a pig of themselves" or in"shedding blood"? Think about this in this 55 minutes conference shot during the Colloque Solstice d'été in Plouharnel organized by Howard Crowhurst.
