Within the frame of the event "Solstice d'été à Plouharnel" (June 2009), Howard Crowhurst gave us an astro-geometric lecture of the site of Manio in Carnac, a key site to understand the megalithic remnant of Morbihan. Observing rises and falls of the Sun at summer and winter solstice, terrestrial motions, and measuring and angle statements with a theodolite, he unveiled a natural sacred architecture with a rare precision between the giant, the goddess and the quadrilateral of Manio, around which is measured the standard of the giant Breton site.
What are the measures and this angles which reveal the meaning?
Where does hide the invisible goddess for the budding archaeologist? What is the role of the giant of Manio? Howard Crowhurst's answer in this 44-minutes report.
