The Way of the Heart What is “the Way of the Heart”? If we try and summarise its meaning, it evokes charity, reminding us of those well-know expressions: “He has a good heart” or “He wears his hear on his sleeve”.
From a physiological point of view, the heart is a vital organ that pumps blood around an organism, regulating circulation within the body. With regard to a way of the heart, it goes without saying these introductory notions are just the beginning, we should go further in defining it. And we also need to ask why Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin chose to adopt this creed which distances itself from “the functional and theurgist path” practised by Martinès de Pasqually and the Elus Cohens (Elect Cohen). In their hypothesis of existence, the invisible and mysterious worlds cannot necessarily be found outside of oneself, but more exactly, within ourselves. They open a door that leads in fact to the true wisdom that surpasses knowledge. “Know your own self and you will know the universe and God”. It is this set of reflections that Yves-Fred Boisset invites us to explore.
