Qualified as "out-of-date physic" by current scientists, the study of the genesis of these four elements which are "Earth, Air, Water, Fire" requires the comprehension of three fundamental questions about the nature of Man, his nature as a reflexion of the cosmos. The word cosmos can be interpreted as synonym of harmony, if Man wishes to live in harmony, he is inevitably to consider the three following questions:

Astrology is a language which grammar is based on symbols. Since a symbol has different meanings depending on the context where it is placed, astrology can only be conjugated in the plural: every attempt of standardization (deviance of our scholastic legacy ?), or rationalization, lead to a dead end. Is it polysemy, its relative inaccessibility (partial for those who study it) which irritates our rational, separatists and potentially dogmatic sort?

André Barbault and Luc Bigé are renowned astrologists. Both fell into the astrological pot when aged 14 and both began to get interested especially by world astrology due to major historical events: to André Barbault, it happened by the coming of the Front Populaire of 1936 and for Luc Bigé, it was when the Berlin Wall fell, in 1989. Two very different lives, two distinct generations but with a same fascinating question:

To know oneself. To give a meaning to the world which surrounds us. By which inner quest do we approach astrology ? And what is its practical application ? In spite of the discredit of which it suffers now (mainly due to a commercial over exploitation of its simplistic and distorted vision: horoscopes) astrology is an art which invites you to an inner exploration and an opening to the universe. Like every symbolical system, it enables us developing a relation to the world as philosophical as practical: "we were born at a precise moment, and we have, like the famous vineyards, the qualities of the year and of the season in which we were born"

Presumed irrational because it is inaccessible to human observation tools, astrology isn't a matter of physical nor mental, but the matter of their common origin which is "behind our eyes" as wrote Paracelsus. Since high antiquity, man scanned the sky built, in a mythological mode, this fundamental building of knowledge. Through the epic of the twelve zodiac signs and planets, it grew to cosmos and cosmos condensed into it. This consubstantiality between microcosm and macrocosm represent a kind of collective soul ancestral substrate, the psyche root of unconscious being.

The Age of Aquarius is an astrology concept that entered the language but few people know that it's the Frenchman Paul le Cour (1871-1954) who was the first to reveal it in 1937. Indeed, to Paul le Cour, the Age of Aries begun in 2160 BC. J-C., it is followed by the Age of Pisces with the birth of Christ, while the Age of Aquarius would begin in 2160. According to astronomic calculations of Le Cour, the great periods of our history would be determined by the alignment of the Sun with one of the constellation of zodiac

Astrologist and tarot reader, Fabrice Pascaud is interested by astrology since he was a teenager. He accepted to answer BAGLIS TV to light up the novice in his discovery of the subject. Regarding his experience refined through his consultations, he gives us his definition of astrology and its practice. When it is mistaken with horoscope, he questions the follower's desire who wants to know his map of the sky. He talks about the different astrology schools and their founder. After all, "astrology is a poetic language", he says, which uses analogical language, the same which has to reconcile us with world duality now unified. Thanks to this harmonious vision of universe and man inextricably "inhabited by the astrological process", it revitalizes our sky part.

The Black Moon, it's the inner star deep in our soul" writes Luc Bigé (The Black Moon - an absolute vertigo", Les éditions de Janus). In astrology, the Black Moon is a mathematic point, empty, non material, which enables the calculation of the orbit of the moon around the earth. The Kabbalah associates to history the falling of the spirit into the matter. The study of this point of astrological theme enables to contact collective memories which dwell in us, from the most idealized ones to the most painful, suggesting an "incarnation path"...

In this 56-minutes conference, André Barbault presents his modern vision of technical astrology, which can’t be conceived without integrating history, politics, economics, sociology and the notion of collective unconscious, so many elements which constitute the world astrology. With his experience, he follows-up national and international current affairs, from great planet cycles which accompanied great turning points of civilization. Drawing up the table of balances and yesterday’s world stakes, today’s and tomorrow’s, he concludes that history repeats itself, evolving from its own bases.

What about myths and astrology in their relation with psychoanalysis? To Eric Berrut, myths lighten physical forces acting during the slow process of individuation, according to C.G. Jung's concept. Astrology also contributes to recognize divinities, mental components, acting in man. The symbolical thought participates to enrich our vision of things and world.
