pascaud fabrice andre breton astrologie
A major figure of art and literature in the 20th century, André Breton (1896-1966) was the major theorist of Surrealism. Opposed to the moral and aesthetic values of Western society, he also affirmed the pre-eminence of dreams and the unconscious in creation.  An irreducible part of the surrealist movement to which he gave his support, he also incarnated a revolutionary attitude always in search of a “supreme point” where all contradictions were resolved and reconciled. He also had a keen interest in astrology.
What relationship did Surrealism have to astrology and what does André Breton’s curiosity about astrology reveal about his personality?
Fabrice Pascaud revisits the great seeker of "the gold of time" in this 50-minute talk.
